Dividend yield calculation

Dividend yield is an indication of how much a company pays in dividends annually relative to its share price.

In Share-Based Payments, the dividend yield is calculated based on the dividends paid in the 12 months up to the valuation date divided by the share price at the valuation date.

Whilst our calculation is a reasonable suggestion for most companies, if your company has a different assumption, is newly listed, or if we warn that we’ve identified unexpected data, you should override our value.
